Professional & Competition Work OKW Architects The Chicago Vocational school (CVA) recently earned landmark status, opening the door to preservation funding. Rather than leaving its vacant Anthony Wing as an ongoing cost, my proposal repurposes it as co-housing, adding affordable homes to a strained market while giving the school a year-round income stream. The intervention pairs social housing with indoor and outdoor community space, giving at-risk students a place to stay alongside a school that teaches the vocational skills in demand.
